One of Leipzig's top night-time destinations, the three floor Moritzbastei is located in an historic underground fortification which was discovered by students in the 1970s. As well as containing a cheap restaurant, good student bar and a kicking dancefloor, Moritzbastei is also used for summer theatre performances, concerts, open-air cinema and exhibitions. One of the best places to party the night away and a great place to get to know the locals.
