I have dined three times at Camargue over the last three years (including Xmas dinner with a group of nine friends in 2005) and have found it to be consistently excellent. It's not cheap by Vietnamese standards but I have never been disappointed by the quality of the food or the standard of service.

The restaurant is in a beautiful colonial setting, but that in no way makes up for the terrible service and mediocre food. The host and server were disinterested, bordering on rude. I had the 'Beef Camargue' which was tough and flavorless. My wife had a very bland chicken dish. I gave up trying to ask for another glass of wine after trying twice to flag down a server. Overall, Camargue is very over-priced considering the poor quality of the food and service.

A breath of fresh air in busy, hot HCMC. We'll go a second time on our 4th trip to Vietnam in December 2005.

mediocre salad and microwaved lamb lasagne that was still cold inside. returned it and left. of course they still made me pay for it. no apologies from the restaurant.....
