Salt Pond, located within Virgin Islands National Park on the island’s south shore, offers excellent snorkeling among the rocks and tide pools. The curving beach provides a spot in the sun, but it can get very hot here. An easy hike past a salt pond takes you to windswept Drunk Bay. Avid hikers head up hill to Ram’s Head for spectacular views and cooling breezes. Visitors will find a few picnic tables and a portable bathroom. One caveat: Thieves occasionally help themselves to items left on the beach. There is no admission charge.
