The facade of the Lübecker Kunsthaus may look plain, but art lovers will find lots of treasures behind it. There are prints, books and sketches from 3 centuries, so visitors should bring some time to browse through the shelves. The largest room on the ground floor is home to works of art from 1900 until the present day. World famous painters like Horst Janssen and Günter Grass, but also local artists are on display here, and you can purchase their works. Upstairs, you can visit exhibitions. There is no admission, and sculptures, jewellery and other hand-crafted pieces of contemporary art are also displayed here. You will definitely find a nice Lübeck souvenir or a special present at the Kunsthaus.
