Great family time
We enjoyed having a great weather kind of day. We went just before lunch and grabbed a bite while we were there. Not as expensive as most parks charge for the food. We had a very enjoyable afternoon, and still didn't get to see all the animals. Great time anyway. Will come back again.

This zoo is one of the best i've ever been to. Great collection of critters, clean, and cost friendly. Highly recommend.

amazing zoo you have to go dont miss out !
What an amazing zoo. And it is Free!!! Anyone should make this a stop in St. louis. I was amazed at the grounds and the animals and the amount of natural habitat in this zoo. They have done alot of fantastic work there. We did purchase the safari pass for $10 which allowed us unlimited train rides, 2 different 3-D movies, 2 simulator rides, 2 animal shows and entrance into the children's zoo. Well worth our money. The train is a great addition to the zoo as it really helped my tried feet and my kids thought is was really cool. I definately recommend this to anyone regardless of having kids or not. also they do have coupons for the safari pass buy one get one free check ebay! also it take about 8 hours to go threw this zoo.

One of our favorite zoos so far
Again we were looking for free things to do and the ZOO was one of them, my husband and I always try to find a zoo when we go on vacation. It cost us 11.00 to park which I didnt mind paying it goes to help get supplies for the animals and then it was free to get in. The outside was packed with school kids and we thought we would never be able to look around...but we were so supirsed when we walked in and were hardly ever bothered with a lot of people. The zoo is huge and had plenty of different animals not seen at other zoos...We walked the whole zoo and took pictures within 2 1/2 hours and tried to get there in the morning to see the animals before it was to hot...Very nice zoo...

Best Trip Of My Life
I am from Fresno Ca. I went to St. Louis on busines but made time to do some sightseeing. I am so glad I did. I was amazed. This zoo is nothing like our local zoo. I spent four hours just wondering thru. Also visited the Science Center. I could not believe it was all free. Our next family vacation will be to St. Louis.

You Should Thank Marlin Perkins
Marlin Perkins of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom probably had the biggest influence on how the St. Louis Zoo has ended up. He passed away 14 June 1986. We St. Louisan's owe him a debt of gratitude for making the Zoo one of the best free Zoo's in North America!

Awesome!
Took two 2 year olds and an 8 yr old Everyone enjoyed it, including parents! Loved it great price (get the armbands if you want to do everything) had everything we could ask for, we packed a lunch in the car and snacks in our bag. Convienient bathrooms for potty breaks Arrived when the zoo opened hardly any people there, almost all the animals were out some were definitely up close and personal!! great experience for all.

Best Zoo
This is an amazing zoo my husband and I went there by ourselves and could not believe it was FREE! We live in Kansas City and the zoo here cost $9 to get in and does not even hold a candle to the STL zoo. We were able to walk thru the whole zoo in less than 2 hours and see the animals up close at home the animals are so far apart and far away. We are returning real soon with the children and cant wait they are going to have a blast:)

we'll be back!!
I just cannot believe that this zoo if free from admission!! The zoo is awsome!! The landscaping was perfect. Great placement for the animals, and there was actually great animals to see. Not like our zoo in Springfield,Mo. that you have to pay for. It is pathetic compared to a FREE zoo. I urge anyone to go visit. It is absolutley beautifull!! Great job St.Louis. You have an awsome zoo program!!!!!
