superb place to stay in Manila,PI
My husband & I reserved a Deluxe rm but on arrival we upgraded to a junior suite rm in w/c it has big living & bed rooms,a full bathrms w/ all amenities & a 1/2 brm for guests. It includes breakfast, tea time & cocktail hrs free everyday @ the Club.I love my "Cosmo" & the hosteses treated us like royals. We enjoyed our dessert & post dinner cocktail hrs while listening to some romantic songs played alive in the great lobby. I had traveled almost all over the world & its one of my best hotel stay.

wish i was still there!!!
I showed up without a reservation, and late in the evening and was given a excellent room and treated wonderfully by the reception staff (Honey) and bellmen. I was very impressed with the whole facility, the room was one of the best I have stayed in, I have traveled and I do work at a Resort in the USA. The food was excellent, and service was over the top. My fiance and I plan to stay here on my next visit. I wish it was tomorrow!!!!

To Mr. Swiss Guy - No satisfaction
Hey Mr. Swiss Guy before you make a coment make sure you know what you are talking about before you embarass yourself. First of all, people who have depression or anxiety attacks doesnt need anti-biotics (dont know where the hell you got that idea). And 2nd, it really sucks if you get food poisoned (it can lead to medical emergency and you can sue the hotel) and you get this anywhere even in a 5 star hotel. And lastly, are you really a swiss from switzerland? or you are just one of the staff at manila pen?

no satisfaction
the person who wrote (april 17,08) that he got sick of food poisoning has absolutely no satisfaction in life ..perhaps he had an attack of depression that time..i feel sorry for him that he was given antibiotic..better the hotel doctor should have given him anti-depressive tabs..in my country (switzerland) we, swiss people we love booking in peninsula..excellent and friendly people..

We had the worst experience at this hotel - I got food poisoning there - beware
My wife and I booked a two-night stay at the Manila Peninsula in early January 2008. We originally had a reservation at the newer and more luxurious Shangri-la, but decided instead to stay at the Manila Pen because my wife's cousin got us a cheaper corporate rate there. Worst mistake we ever made. I got violently ill there from food poisoning, and instead of being treated well by the hotel, many of the staff members there were so arrogant and deceitful. We were treated so badly, and expected much, much better from a purportedly upscale hotel like the Manila Pen.

a glimpse of heaven
i attended a convention about 3D CAD Software last 2006 at the peninsula manila. The grand lobby was like a glimpse of heaven. It was awesome, i felt that there was a bomb of hapiness exploding inside of me while entering the exquisite hotel, but of course I have to act like a demure person that moment. The food, the best especially the peninsula brownies.

opulence
Great service and quality. A pleasant surprise. The room was immaculate and the concierge service was way above board. The hotel workers couldn't do enough for us.
