This old estate house has a long history, which fascinates visitors. Now crumbling, it's tragic history is part of colourful island folklore. Located on the lesser developed windward side of the island, Eden Brown is marked with a sign you'll see while travelling on the main island road. Visitors can stop and walk around the property. As the story goes, the house was the site of a duel on the night before the wedding of a wealthy Planter's daughter. Her husband-to-be faced a guest and two men shot and killed each other before the disbelieving eyes of the bride and guests. When visiting the house today, one is supposed to be able to hear her weeping and wailing.
