Very nice vistas. Lots of place too eat. Good place to cool off and spend the day leisurely.

GREAT EXPERIENCE
i went there with my nephews and nieces...and totally we were awed and enjoyed the experience though exhausted with the trip....the place is breathtaking.... the tour guide and the locals were nice and accommodating...the cost can be expensive but you should know how to deal with them.

Never go there
The people there are so money concious and everything is so expensive. They made me pay as much as 9000 peso for one person and wanted me to pay more as tips. Dont forget to bring a raincoat for the scariest and wettest ride of your life. The people there always want tips so it is better if you walk. It is much faster but bring a mask because of the sand. The volcano is very beautiful if you reach there. And it is better if you get a genuine tour agency like in hotels like Shang-ri-La.Thats all for now. Bai!

Plan well for a Taal Trip
When you go to hike to the rim of Taal Volcano you will most likely go through Tagaytay which, while not on the direct path, is where most of the tour operators work out of. If you avoid Tagaytay and the "bargain" pushers there, you can go straight to Talisay City and go to almost any hotel and there will be bangka boat operators that will offer you a trip to the island. Avoid any costs not directly associated with the hike, to include food, refreshments, etc. The price simply isn't worth it. They know foreigners from the world over go to Taal to hike it, and they are making very good money pushing their food and refreshments.

Breathtaking
The view of Taal is by far in my top ten places to see in this world. I was just in Manila last month for the first time and am visiting again in two days. I will definetly make a stop to visit again. Simply put, breathtaking.
