GREAT Place
Supreme service within reasonable distance of restaurants, malls and NAIA. Rates were reasonable for Manila and I will return again.

very classic and beautiful hotel
Manila Hotel has been the number one of all the hotels in the Philippines. It is a walking distance to the bay. Beautiful baywalk, Luneta Park. Although I never stay in the hotel, I have been so many times in the hotel just to sit around in the lobby and feel the atmosphere and feel the beauty. We ate at the hotel as an outside guests and viewed the rooms if we decided to stay for one night or so. And I did not feel paying the price, I rather help my poor family than to feel like I had so much money to spend around by staying in the beautiful hotel. I enjoyed the live pianist in the lobby. Peter Jennings, USA journalist stayed in Manila Hotel when he had his special show from Manila during? If you can afford it stay at this hotel. You won't regret. when I lived in the Philippines, I never gone inside the hotel, now we are balikbayan we go there each time we go home for visits, even we never stay for a day or so. We are planning to go back again in Feb 2009, we will stop by again! From: Oxnard, California USA

Clean/Good Service
I like the place, its clean and they have good service. Although the staff need to check the room before giving to the guest because there's some stuff needing on our room that other rooms has. All in all we were pleased with our room.

Beautiful & Clean
I was stationed here in the Phillipines in the 1980's. Being female, I enjoy my creature comforts but for the price this hotel is excellent. My family (husbands pinoy) and I enjoyed our stay at the Manila Hotel on our last visit with our daughters. The classic elegance of the rooms with no smell of cigerettes with the shutters over the windows in the bedroom with aircon, decent showers, a flushable toilet, watchable tv and a fridge for water or soft drinks. You cant hear your neighbors or those in the hall, sweet! You can also tour McArthurs suites which make this a very nice vacation spot. I highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent Place to Stay
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. History abides here and yet it is classy with the dark wood and shutters on the windows where the staff lay back your bedding at night over standard american size beds. beathrooms flush and good shower pressure. For American tourists comforts of home. It has its faults, I ordered hot chocolate which was undrinkable but that was the only bad thing I found so all was good.

Family Hotel
We were visiting from the states and wanted to stay somewhere by the Manila Bay. The Manila Hotel is old time eligance with the charming dark wood in the rooms. The rooms were clean, air conditioning worked, bathrooms were clean and flushed correctly. Thed beds were standard size and the sheets were turned down at night by the staff. We toured McArthurs Suites where he and his family stayed at during the WW2, pleasant surpise with the historical value probally meaning more to the Filipinos than Americans but a nice free tourist touch for the hotel and good lesson for our daughters.

Ok, could be better
Had a one nighter recently, found the lobby to be top notch, but room was just average. Touted to be one of the top hotels in Manila, this one shows age and in need of a complete revamping. Its a pick over some of the older 4 star hotels, but certainly not the likes of the Shangri-La.
