Disappointment
Had been looking forward to going to Cayenne all week but what a disappointment. When we first sat down we waited 15 mins until we even got a glass of water. Each course took forever to get to the table. My friend specifically asked for her meat to be well done and got it rare. My mussels were non-existent and the prawn was inedible. When we complained we didn't get much of an apology but at least they took one main course off the bill. Empty water glasses = bad service and it wasn't even that busy! Will never go back and would not recommend it.

Definately not going back!
To be honest this is one restaurant that i will never to. My boyfriend took me here for valentines day n i must say it completely ruined our night. service was great but the food was abit OTT - small portions at a unbelieveable prices (we left still hungry after paying a bill for 60pounds). i must say this is only the kind of restaurant businessmen and upperclass people would go to... in other words rich snobs and those who think they are snobs

Not great but not awful either.
I have not lived in Northern Ireland for many years and was making a special visit home for my mums 60th birthday.

Treat yourself!
My husband and I have been to Cayenne three times and we are going there to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary tomorrow night. We know that we will not be disappointed as the food has always been exquisite! It's the kind of place you go to really treat yourself once in a while- Order a glass of bubbly, the wine selection is very good too. Would recommend the cod and fennel, the steak is great...
