Ever since it opened about 20 years ago, Da Paolo has been popular and crowded. Expect to wait for a table both at lunchtime and in the evening. Service is extremely slow (getting the check can be particularly trying on your patience), and the waiters can be quite rude. Many Geneva residents swear by the food though, and make up its faithful clientele, who give Da Paulo its reputation as one of the best Italian restaurants in Geneva. A typical Italian pizzeria. A lively atmosphere and very noisy. If you are seated anywhere near the open fire in front of which the pizzaolo is skillfully preparing the pizzas, expect it to be very hot. Traditional Italian food. The pizzas are good but not necessarily better than elsewhere.
