Situated in the northern district of Wedding, Volkspark Humboldthain is a popular weekend hang-out. Yet you can hardly tell where the park begins and where it ends. Tall trees surround long stretches of lawn. A steep hill rises in the middle. The hill - made of wartime rubble - is the park's main attraction. Several paths wind up to the top, where breathless visitors are rewarded with fantastic views over the city. The park also contains other attractions: An outdoor swimming pool, a Baroque garden and a wartime bunker.
