Back to Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel Excellent Hotel I travel to Shanghai alot pratically every month and this is the first time I stay in Hongqiao area. The Location is fantastic.Restaurants, Cafes, Shoppings and Supermarkets is just within walking distance. The Highway leading to city center is just located next to the hotel. Everything is so convenience. The room is cozy and clean. Not forgetting the Bed. I love it, it's so comfortable and I slept so well everynight. Staff is friendly and helpful as they go extra miles to assist me especially the concierge. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 28 2008 A classic hotel I stayed at Sheraton Grand a few times and I think it's a great hotel. The hotel was remodeled recently with beautiful and classic furnishing. The hotel is in a very good location, lots of local restaurants, shopping, nigh clubs, and couple blocks away from highways. The service is good, but yes, a lot rules like many European Grand hotels. Its not a typical American business hotel.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 26 2006 Good if formal Good location, plenty of interesting and reasonable restaurants nearby. Starbucks one block over is very good low cost alternative to hotel breakfast. Too may 'dont...' signs up, dont sit here, dont take photos, dont touch, dont.....
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 06 2005 Do not stay at Sheraton Shanghai This is the worst hotel in Shanghai for the price of $250/night. There is no light in the hallway (all floors, except the lobby!)after 11pm or midnight; no seatings in the lobby and no morning newspaper. You can not walk around in the lobby with a cup of coffee, tee or water bottle, let alone drinking them. Bell boys would not keep your luggage if you have laptop. Worst of all, Sheraton automatically charges $1.00 US for donation to UNICEF, unless you ask them not to charge! Hilton and Equatorial in Shanghai, Crown in Shenzhen, Radisson in Hanzhou all have much better service than the Sheraton in Shanghai. Don't ever stay at Sheraton in Shanghai!!!
