We spent a week in Shanghai at the Portman Ritz Carlton. It is beautiful, well maintained, service in all areas was great. The staff speak English and are friendly. Concierge was very helpful to us on a daily basis. Food in several of their restaurants was outstanding, including the daily breakfast buffet. The hotel is located within the shopping district and within easy walking distance to several restaurants, nightclubs, and many shopping areas. There is a theatre in the hotel and features a circ d'solei type show, well worth seeing. There is a large exercise facility on one floor. Right outside the hotel door are a small grocery store, ATMS, hair salon, Starbucks, and a couple of casual restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

stayed her half a dozen times in the past and each time my expectations were net. larger rooms were nice and the reastaurant buffet was excellent. Overall, a good value.
