The Grand Hotel is a relatively new building, located in the Laugardalur area of Reykjavík. It takes around 20-30 minutes to walk to the city centre. The distance to the Kringlan shopping centre is similar. It is within short walking distance of Reykjavík's most prominent sporting facilities. Furthermore, the museum honouring Ásmundur Sveinsson, the late sculptor, is next door. Equally close is a newly-established art gallery, Listhúsið, which accommodates several artists. Reykjavík's scenic coastline is just a few minutes away on foot. The modern and very spacious hotel has large, carpeted rooms with private baths and showers, as well as most facilities you normally find in hotels of this category. All the rooms were renovated in 1995. A very good choice for those wanting to be able to have easy access to the life of the city centre, without being in the middle of it all the time.2 ¢/min and up – call home from over 100 countries!http://travel.comfi.com/Best Value.
