Back to Stories many trips always awesome After visiting Stories many times , I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants in the city and possibly Canada. We have never been disappointed in the food or the service.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 27 2007 Excellent service, amazing food! A week ago I dined at Stories and had the "Flight". I was told that it was the Chef's Carte Blanche, for the adventerous diner. So my girlfriend and I said, why not, and we tried it. The waiter explained that it was generally a five course meal, two appetizers and a cleansing course, main course and desert. Well, it ended up being nine courses! Definately the best meal I've had in Halifax.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 11 2005 ""Stories Restaurant" at "Halliburton House Inn" in Halifax. Very Poor Service, Poor Food This is my "Story" of the "Stories" Restaurant. Worst Service ever, my girlfriend and I went there for valentine's day. The waitress (Helen) was horrible, she got us the wine and said she would be back with the bread rolls etc, we placed the order and next thing we know the chef bought the soup telling me it was *HOT*, when I tried it was cold, then before we even finished our soup we got the entree again served by somebody. The waitress, who finally appeared, said,"oh! you got your meal", now in the meantime another couple came in she was all over them giving them different choices, different breads etc. when I asked her is this how you normally serve your meal (without the bread and rush thru the main course) she said "Oh! you should have gotten the bread" I was like yes and you were the waitress. I wanted to leave no tip but I did and a good tip ($40) Since it was a very special day for us (our First anniversary) and said I will not be an jerk and ruin our evening. Which completed a very unsatisfying dining experience. Two days later we went to "La cave" on Spring Garden Road, and had a ball. Think twice before going to Stories.
