This strip of fine powdery beach is home to several good hotels: Sandals, Rex Halcyon, etc. All Antigua beaches are public, but you may feel uninvited in front of Sandals among sunbathers with recognizable lounge chairs and matching towels. This beach is particularly suitable for children as the waters are usually calm. Rent water sports gear here and dine at fine restaurants nearby. There's even a small grocery store just behind the beach at Antigua Village. For more privacy, settle at the far end near the dive operation.
