Excellent Hotel!
Very pleasant and helpful staff, beautiful and clean hotel, AMAZING views of the stadium, and excellent location downtown right in the middle of everything. Walk to the stadium, the arch, local parks, and catch the metro link nearby. The attached restaurants (the Market Street Bistro and Imo's Pizza) are both great. The only negative thing I can report is that the bathrooms are on the small side. But other than that, no complaints! We'd definitely stay here again.

This place SUCKS
I called three hours before arrival, to ensure I would be receiving the hotel room that I payed for online and the staff ensured me that I would receive a non-smoking room with Ball Park view. But, upon arrival and making it to the room, I was given a smoking ballpark view room. So, I called to talk to the night shift manager about the issue and he would not help at all. I them call the 1888 YAHOOTRAVEL to get some help regarding the matter, but after the recording asked for my Trip ID and saw where I had start my travel; I was disconnected. This happen 5 time. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone or going through YAHOOTRAVEL for making travel arrangements. I was out of $200 plus dollars and my wife's birthday was shoot. THANKS

Staff stole our camera.
We had our expensive camera stolen while attending a wedding reception at the Hilton. It was a horrible experience and the managers and security officers treated us with little respect and concern. They did not follow-up with us as promised or apologize for the incident and the way it was handled. I would NOT have an event here.

Wouldn't choose to stay again!
For the price of the room, I would have expected alot more. Room was small. Bathroom was even smaller. Hardly enough room to turn around in. Worst of all the air conditioning didn't work at all. I turned the air down before I left for the evening. Upon my return late in the evening it hadn't cooled any at all. I was too exhausted to change room's. When I complained the next morning they just said sorry and acted like it was no big deal. I think next time I might try the Westin close by.

JUST OK STAY
We stayed here to have great access to the ballgame. The stay was ok but the elevators were very small ahd the wait was horrible. The rooms could have been alot better for the price and looking for food at midnight was impossible!!!! Booking on line gives you false impresstions of the rooms because i thought i would have a view of the ballpark but not so and when i asked the person at the desk they said we would have to stay in new section next time but it was booked at that time, not what they said on the phone. anyway the people that worked there were very nice but for the money i will stay somewhere else next time!!!!!

Excellent hotel ideal for families
The only problem we encountered was that the cleaning lady (Sonia) stole $40 dollars from my daughters purse. We notified security and management. They re-acted promptly and was able to get my daughter's money back.**********Even this terrible deed did not take away from the beauty of the hotel and the kindness of the staff. They dealt promptly with this lady. The hotel was fabulous. Just remember to secure valuables if leaving room during cleaning time. ****************************

very nice for the price
This hotel is in the thick of things so if you want activity downtown it's great. It's only 5 - 10 min. to other attractions, such as Union Station, Botanical Gardens, Fox Theatre, Forest Park. It's within walking distance of Laclede's Landing. The rooms were not large but were clean and very comfortable. We had 2 standard size beds. The only complaint would have been one morning out of a three day stay, the housekeeping was done poorly. The valet service was excellent. The concierge was most helpful and the complete check in - check out was easy. We even stayed when there was a large convention in town and two Cardinal games yet the hotel gave us great service. The Cardinal stadium is across the street.

Convention city
My husband and I were in St. Louis for a convention. We had a room that faced the park. The room was pleasant, clean and quiet, except for the Saturday concert in the park.

Right next to the stadium
As the subject says, the hotel was right next to the stadium, which was terrific! We stopped in St Louis just for the game, and it was great to be able to walk right across the street. Otherwise, it was as you would expect from a Marriott. Good service, and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
