Reviewed by: Rhonlynn from on May 28 2008 Valet, not a plus. The hotel itself and the employees inside were great! However, the valet was not so great. They gave us the wrong directions to the Zoo and tried sending us south when we needed to go west. Then one of them impolitely asked me for a cigarette while he was talking on the phone. I was already a little upset that we could not park our own vehicle due to "construction" even though I think it was reserved for a wedding party that night. I do not enjoy valet parking when there is a possibility of things vanishing from my vehicle and I can not take it all out like the sign says to do. The valet was not professional like I expected. I have not been to many places with valet, but it did not make me feel important, it made me worry.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 10 2007 good deal! This hotel is in a great location, especially considering the price. A lot cheaper than hotels just a few blocks away. Within walking distance of Scottrade Center and Union Station. (We had to walk b/c of the St. Patrick's Day parade on Market Street.) Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Continental breakfast was good. The pool and hot tub area were nice. Just be aware that indoor pool does not mean indoor "heated" pool. Our only complaint was that the service in the restaurant downstairs was very poor. Great food but slow service! We plan on returning to this hotel for future stays in St. Louis.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 20 2007 Awesome Place to Stay The location of this hotel is excellent. Though it is not exactly considered to be in downtown, it is closed enough to everything including the Union Station, and best of all every floor hallway has a straight view down to Gateway Arch and St. Louis cityscape. It does come with free breakfast, internet, and indoor parking lot. The room itself is clean and full of amenities. The mattress is gotta be the best and most comfortable one from my travelling experience. The price is comparatively cheaper than the other Hampton Inn by the Arch and many other hotels in the downtown area. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience at Hampton Inn Union Station.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 03 2005 Home away from home. Hampton Inn Union Station was a second home to us while my daughter attend college in St. Louis. The complimentary breakfast, in-hotel restaurant, and the near-by Union Station, made this the ideal base for all our activities. I recommend Hampton Inn for it's family-friendly attitude and wonderful staff.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 29 2005 good spot Great location, right in the middle of the city, everything is close. Its a nice hotel, its a hampton inn so you get the free breakfast buffet which is good. The best thing about this hotel is its location to surrounding things, and its accessiblity, near the highway, on a main road, easy to get to.
