Rosie O'Grady's is possibly the closest thing Moscow has to a real pub, with a regular crowd and a homey feel to it. It was one of the first pubs to open in the capital. There are live bands on some nights, so if you want to chat over your drinks, it's best to call ahead to check. While spending an evening here you can almost forget you are in Russia — stagger outside after a few beers for an unforgettable view of the Kremlin that might just disorientate you! There is a fairly decent choice of beers on hand, and this is one of the few places in the capital where you can get cider. Everyday from 6p-7p and 11:30p-midnight, there is a 20 per cent discount on all alcoholic drinks. European dishes are also served, with main courses costing around RUR100-300.
