Getting a bit old
I've stayed at the Dusit almost every year since 1990, and like it OK. But it is showing its age, despite remodeling over the past couple of years. I can only conclude the remodel wasn't very extensive - seemed like a repaint to me, with the TVs replaced with flat screens. There is insufficient storage in the room, just two drawers - not enough clothing space for 2 people that's for sure. The air conditioning barely kept up, even set at the lowest temperature. It was cooler on the street outside than it was in the room. Breakfast buffet is good, but gets crowded at times - go early! Staff are very friendly.

Full of complimentary stuffs!
we had our first new year (2008) celebrated here as husband and wife and they made it very special. eventhough we had our expectations set regarding their service (accommodating people, nice rooms etc) before coming here since we already spent 3d/2n at their suite room - in addition we had our wedding reception held here. this time they have exceeded these expectations!

Best value for a Makati hotel
Service was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quite clean. Breakfast was excellent! And best of all, it's smack in the heart of Makati, meaning walking distance to the malls. :)

Great hotel
My family and I had just returned from the provinces and decided to stay in a nice hotel in Manila. The Dusit exceeded our expectations. They met our basic needs (i.e. a/c, shower, flushing toilet w/ toilet paper), plus the hotel was clean and elegantly structured and decorated, the staff was friendly, and less than 5 minute walk from SM Mall and Glorietta Mall. It is a great value when you consider the accomodations and the location!

Overbooked...be careful
We had made reservations more than 2 weeks in advance. Prepaid the hotel thru Rajah Tours. Was told on the day of arrival that they were over 100% occupancy and could not accomodate us! Don't trust this hotel for confirmations!
