Remember, every beach in Antigua, is public. Long Bay beach is one of the loveliest and the home of Pineapple Beach Club. Here, you can have a little of everything. Most importantly, the waters are shallow and crystal blue with a pretty spot for snorkelers that is shallow enough for children. The beach has a very small vendor's area with wares like little rag dolls, sarongs, T-shirts and local crafts. Then, there's a small water sports area where you can rent a windboard, snorkel gear and more. One of the best things there is the convenience of having lunch options. You can stop at Brownie's for a beer and a local lunch for terrific value, or you can have a fancier meal alfresco or under a covered pavilion at the Long Bay Hotel restaurant. The beach is rarely crowded unless it's a Thursday or Friday when cruise ship passengers make a beeline for this location.
