I will stay at this hotel any time. Loved it!!
I had a great experience at the Barcelo Lna Hotel. I will not deny that I was hesitant when booking the hotel online because I did not know much about it; my first instict was to book the Hilton, but when I arrived at the Barcelo Lina and saw its beautiful people and the excellent service they provide me and my daughters, I changed my mind. Next time I visit Santo Domingo, DR the hotel of my choice and that of my family is Barcelo LIna. Not only for its employees but also for its cleanliness.

thanks
During our trip (El coro de la comunidad internacional de Haiti / gran gira del coro cantando El Mesias de G.F. Handel)we were pleased by the "douillet" habitaciones where we slept (temperature controled, no noise, limited acces to the floor)remember the cafeteria, especially for fine "buffet" served there. The piano bar is very luxurious

Horrible exprience
I booked an All-Inclusive package from travelocity to stay at this hotel and when I arrived there I was told that Travelocity only paid for the room and not for the food. I was also told not to worry that they would take care of the problem. The real true was that I had to solve my own problem because nobody in the hotel would make any phone calls to the US. I received no cooperation from anyone there. Most of the people didn't speak English. Besides, the furniture in the room were falling apart. The bathroom shower didn't work. One night, while we were sleeping we heard a big noice from the toiled when I got up I had water all over my room. There I was with 3 children, spending my money on calling cards trying to solve my problem on my own. I"ll tell you this is not a 3 stars hotel.

Comfort with no charm
For a working trip it was ok but even when a getting a job done is the main purpose, you might want to spend some time by the pool or a bar with ambiance. You will find good food, comfortable infrastructure but little charm or space to feel in the middle of the caribbean...where you actually are when in Santo Domingo. I was sorry not to find any reminder of the colonial or caribbean culture in the Lina Hotel.
