This cafe-style eatery is perched on a rise overlooking the main road leading into St. John's. It has an excellent reputation for catering private parties. Parking available. Clean, white and airy, before you slide into one of the booths, check out the glass cases with each day's fresh offerings. The entire room is lined with shutters, which are propped up, allowing in constant warm breezes. There's a blackboard menu with table service available. Each day brings on a new menu for dining or buying baked goods to take with you. You can count on one or two homemade soups for lunch or supper, quiches, pastas, fresh salad choices, special sandwiches on home-baked bread or rolls. There are the European-style baked goods too: cakes, pies, turnovers, cookies, muffins and sweet rolls and other treats. Perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up with a cup of British tea.
