Cafe Chianti boasts one of the finest wine lists—and most knowledgeable wine stewards—in the city. Best known for its impressive pasta repertoire, it also offers interesting Hungarian concoctions in an intimate, Old World atmosphere. The soups are all homemade, and with an appetizer, work as an entire meal. Desserts include tiramisu, profiteroles and Crepes Romanoff. Each section of the menu notes the wine steward's recommendation, but your steward will happily discuss wines with you, and if he suggests a bottle to complement your meal, take him up on it.
