Christmas Gift? Shop at Divisoria!
when my mom had a toy business we used to visit divisoria to buy stuff every week.. its too crowded but theres nothing you cannot find in Divisoria.. whenever i want to buy a branded jeans in a cheaper price, i would fit the jeans i want in department store, check if it fts well, and i would buy the same brand, syle in divisoria at 30-50% off the original price. My mom and i would just grab watermelon in some carts, and would eat it while walking around.. you can also get corn, coconut, etc so you would never get hungry while shopping...

Oh la la, Divisoria!
I have been frequenting Divisoria since I was a child. My grandmother used to take me there and indirectly, through her way of buying items, taught me a how to make a good bargain from sellers of different products. I never grew tired of touring the place for the entire day because they offer the best and real shopping deals. I also love the food being offered in different Chinese restaurants. And, who could forget Eng Bee Tin? I was introduced to their products when I was still pregnant with my eldest child. I loved their hopia - all of it! Whenever I travel to Saudi Arabia, I used to give it to my Filipino expat friends there as "pasalubong," even to other nationalities.

My daughter ten years old likes to go back there, we've been there 2x and she still wants to go back for the cheap goods
I like this place . I advise anyonwe who goes there to take public transport as taking your car is not practical. Once the jeepney drops you ff in Divisoria you are free to roam without worrying where to part your car. If you're somewhere from taft Avenue ( hotels etc0 you can take the Jeepney its very near and I tell you you will be delighted with the experience everything is cheap. It's not hard to roam around. Just be there at 7 ama and leave before ten a.m.

Shopping Galore!
Being the OC shopper that I am,I have been to alot of shopping havens in and out of my country. Still, when it comes to big-time bargain hunting, there's no reason to look any further than Divisoria.

Loved Divisoria
I've buying stuff there for years and I trully loved it. People is friendly and efficient. It's a massive mess where you can't hardly move (watch your pockets BTW) but overall it's fun. You can find everything from cloth to toys via beads and meat. Sometimes it stinks badly but there is no place like this anywhere else. If coming with your car, park it before you reach the crowd. Pay someone to keep an eye on it and don't carry to much stuff at the same time. Beware of your pockets and wallets. I met some snatchers and pickpockets around there but nothing too harsh. Price are really good and I never paid more because I was foreigner. Some store have a bunch of cute filipina salesladies in uniforms working and always ready for joking with you. Most of the owners are chinese and they are easy to recognise: they don't laugh at all!

Response to earlier post:
"We usually go to Divisoria on the day before we depart manila to come back to Australia. It's a good place to pick up some bargains, especially DVDs if that's what you want. Yeah the standard price for a DVD is 75 pesos, but if you are buying a lot usually they will drop the price to 70 pesos. Who knows what the locals pay? I have no idea."

Divisoria's the place!
I LOVE DIVI SO MUCH! I always go there... so many bargains at OH so CHEAP prices! But they're so nice and excellent! You couldn't find any place in the Philippines for a better shopping place...but be ready for lots of walking! It's worth it, though

for a first timer, it wasn't that bad
divisoria has a reputation of being a crowded and chaotic place, but it is just a matter of timing when you plan to go there. it was my first time there, and i wasn't disappointed at all because i bought all the things i wanted for a small price and i even have extras for christmas gifts. they aim for wholesale so then it becomes cheaper the more you buy items. compared to department stores, it is recommended to come here when you plan to buy in bulk. it was definitely worth all the pain and exhaustion!!
