The location is great, but the building is a bit tired and not over-strong on facilities; to be fair, to upgrade fully this pair of Georgian houses would cost megabucks and take the hotel into a different class. You get a warm and unfussy welcome.

Stauntons on the Green is really convinient to most central Dublin attractions. They appear to be making an addition in the back which will expand the hotal size. I was able to book a really reasonable rate 2 days before my arrival, but the rates quoted on their site are about 25 more than my bill was. For the price I paid the hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean, service was friendly and the breakfast wasn't bad either. However, the prices that their web site quotes push them up to the range of some 4 star accomidations, and certainly reduces the 'value'.
