Most visitors are in Macau for gambling, shopping or food and hence fail to take advantage of the interesting patches of green, particularly on the islands. This hike offers a leafy nine kilometer walk over Coloane. Easy in most places, moderately strenuous in others, even the decrepit cover the distance in a little over two hours, making it a great stroll for working off some of the calories gained from the Macanese feast the night before. A great time to walk is late afternoon, and in the evenings when you can watch Macau light up.
