Excellent craic in Dublin!
I am recently back from a weekend in Dublin and we stayed at the Temple Bar Hotel. Not only is it brilliantly situated, it's in the centre of everything, but the rooms were really cool, they had just been renovated. I am going back to Dublin in the summer and I will be definitely staying at the Temple Bar Hotel.
Would you recommend this to a friend?
Yes

Why? / Why Not?
The staff were great, we arrived early and they took our bags and brought us through to the gorgeous Buskers Bar for a drink while we waited.

Look somewhere else!!!!!!!
After spending several thousands of dollars to visit Ireland, I would NOT use Temple Bar Hotel or recommend it ever again. The location is great, but getting to stay there is another problem.

We would stay here again
What we liked about the hotel was the convenient location, we were close to theatres, restaurants, clubs and pubs.

great location
This hotel is near all the action, which may not be a good thing for everyone. If you have a room facing the street, you are not going to get much sleep, as this is basically the equivilent of bourbon street in N'Orleans. The drinking generally does not stop until around 4, and the Irish get a little loud. You are within walking distence of grafton street (maybe 5 minute walk), as well as all the great bars (temple bar is maybe 200 ft away as is gogarty's pub). A great location to party!!

Leisure Traveler
Was a nice, clean room with an accommodating staff. Was in the best area of Dublin for nightlife. Beds were a bit small as were the rooms. We had a room facing the busy Temple Bar streets, but it wasn't too loud. I recommend this hotel for those comfortable in European style accommodations.
