What the Fringe Festival has done for street theater, this has done for Shakespeare in the Park. Located in High Park, this summer festival treats drama enthusiasts to remarkable acts of Canadian theater. 2002 saw the festival reprise the original performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." A mainstay for the last two decades, the event, put on by the Canadian Stage Company, has attracted a million people for the excitement of live theater in a magical outdoor setting. Admission is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of CAD10.
