Back to Nativo Lodge Fabulous conference experience The staff who attended to the conference participants were awesome. We had wonderful breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day. The hotel lobby is huge with big comfy chairs to relax or catnap during breaks. I had a peek at the pool area that looked very clean and inviting. The participants staying at the hotel had no complaints about their rooms.
Reviewed by: Linda from on Aug 03 2007 Interesting Location The hotel is easy to find off I-25, and is adjacent to San Mateo. It's within walking distance to a Starbucks if you don't mind walking on a section of roadway squeezed against a guardrail. A bike / running trail is close to the hotel, but the hotel staff have no clue how to get there. There is no straight-forward access to the trail. You either have to snake through the medical offices or you can run along the busy roadway (no sidewalk) until you get to the beginning of the trail near San Antonio. The shower was dark. The dim fixture above the toilet did not do the trick. The deadbolt on my door did not work. The beds were fabulous and the room was clean.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 24 2007 Very disappointing I spent three nights at the Nativo. When returning to the lodge at the end of the second day, my room had not been touched! A call did result in clean towels being sent up after an apology. Also, there were no regular coffee pods available for the next morning; something about a shipment not arriving.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 17 2007 interesting decor We stayed at the Nativo in March 2006.The lobby has a nice layout and intersting native themed things to look at. The rooms are nice for the money. Great comfortable beds and pillows.Location is close to restaurants but also to the expressway which made our room facing it a bit noisey. The people working the restaurant are very nice. I would stay there again!
Reviewed by: Robin from on Jul 18 2006 Really Captures the Southwest Spirit As a first time visitor to Albuqueque, I'd reserved a room in a clean, nice but mundane chain hotel. I saw an ad for this hotel with other hotels being spotlighted for the TriCentenial, called to reserve a room and moved the same day. This place is beautiful! The designer managed to combine the best of the Southwest Native American spirit with texture, color and stylish furnishings and beddings. The hotel and rooms were immaculate, the lobby and bar areas inviting, and the complimentary full breakfast delicious. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, it was a great experience and I will stay they next time I'm in town as well.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 27 2006 Good value Their website would have you believe the Nativo Lodge is an upscale boutique hotel. It isn't. However, the hotel has been completely renovated and offers a nice value. Think of it like a Hampton or a Fairfield, except with nicer, local decor.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 08 2005 Well it's not bad.... They were still remodeling, so I cannot give a totally accurate depiction of the place. The pools were closed, and I had to change rooms because the airconditioner was broken. They are extremely nice people, the rooms are clean, but I would prefer Queen size instead of full size beds...
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 29 2005 Avoid like the plague!!! When checking in, we noticed that there was construction tape blocking most of the front lobby area. We were then told that the restaurant/lobby area was undergoing renovation and that the restaurant had only a limited menu available. The curtains in our room had holes in them. The sink was very slow draining. There was a large stain on the countertop next to the sink. There was a large hole in the wall above the toilet. $92/night??????
