Writers, poets, musicians, performing artists and craftspeople come together at Seattle Center for the long Labor Day weekend. More than 2,000 artists from the Northwest and around the world participate in one of Seattle's most popular festivals. It's an unparalleled celebration of music, dance, theater, visual and literary arts. The festival includes a Literary Arts Program that features more than 50 writers and poets. Indoor and outdoor stages have show times scattered between noon and 12p each day. Known for its inexpensive price and quality acts, expect thousands of colorful people to be dancing in the grass, taking a nap by the fountain or merely wandering around the many art booths.
