Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 25 2008 Great Wedding site! We were married on Ulua Beach and stayed at this fabulous hotel. Our guests enjoyed an incredible buffet and staff arranged for our party to use the outside seating area. 'It was perfect for our small group. The sunset, while we were dining, was a 5-star extra!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 04 2008 Excellent Hotel My fiance and I spent two days and nights here during our trip to Maui. I can't think of enough good things to say about the place. The Maui Onion restaurant at the hotel was perfect and the view of the ocean was gorgeous. I could happily have eaten every meal there! The room was clean and nicely appointed...very comfortable bed. We were up at the crack of dawn because of the time change and ordered breakfast which was promptly delivered despite the early hour. The open air lobby was breathtaking and really embraced the island feel. The beach was stunning! I highly recommend this hotel for couples and those who like a peaceful resort atmosphere.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 16 2008 We were pleased We booked the Renaissance because we had two extra days in Maui after our stay in a favorite condo in the same area in Wailea. We upgraded the room to an ocean view on the 4th floor. The room was very clean and the view was lovely. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We would definately stay again.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 11 2008 Gorgeous The grand staircase from the lobby overlooking the ocean was magnificent. That is the reason I chose this hotel for my wedding. We took picture on the staircase but actually were married on the lawn next to the beach. It was such a beautiful setting, tourists stopped to watch thinking we were filming a commercial of weddings at the resort! Can't wait to go back.
Reviewed by: Cindie R from on Dec 16 2007 Nice place This is a good place to go, and a great bargain. The service, rooms and restaurants were top notch. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.
Reviewed by: Timothy M from on Aug 04 2007 Poor rooms, Poor spa, Terrible pool I stayed for 7 nights at this hotel in July. VERY disappointing. I stayed at the Renaissance because it is generally nicer than Marriott properties and was listed as a category 7 facility. This hotel should be a category 5 hotel - at best! I felt very mis-lead by Marriott.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 25 2007 Great place to stay The Renaissance Wailea is located in a beautifully landscaped area. The open veranda was so refreshing and beautiful.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 28 2007 0ur Special 40th Anniversary 0ur visit here was April 27th thru May 3rd/2007. We were somewhat apprehensive about what to expect as reports we read indicated the resort was going condo's very soon. To our delight we found the resort up to our same expectations as we had stayed here in 2002. Breakfasts and dinner our last night were of high quality. Very friendly bellhops greeted us our first day and throughout our stay. Concierge personnel both extremely friendly and informative. Wife enjoyed her visit to the spa immensely! Resort is right on the beach. Floral gardens in and around pool area gorgeous! Located near the Shops of Wailea with wide range of quality shopping and restaurants. 0nly negative the carpeting in our room which has seen better days. But what really makes this resort the excellent choice that it is are the people. So very friendly and courteous. Mihalo! Stay as you are...we hope everything will be the same for us when we return in 2012!
