Back to Fairmont Kea Lani Resort Don't Stay Here! There was very little I liked about this hotel. From the day we walked in, I was disappointed. I had made reservations for a king room with pullout sofa for a guest. When we got there, we were supposedly automatically "upgraded" to a two full-sized bedroom. Not much of an upgrade. The whole point was so our guest could have privacy (not to mention me. I was the only girl). And when I turned down this room, they proceeded in placing us in a basement room. I kid you not! From the lobby (Considered floor 1) we went DOWN the elevator! to Parking level for the staff.
Reviewed by: MaRanda Malone from on Jul 07 2009 Loved this Hotel I have no complaints about this hotel. We stayed there during our honeymoon and the staff couldn't have been more complimentary. The rooms are enormous. Adult pool is quiet as they separate the adult pool and kid pool and the beach is the best place to get sunset photos as well as relaxing during the day. I highly recommend staying there and getting the breakfast buffet package. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Reviewed by: jtbanc from on Dec 24 2008 It Was Nice to Be Along the Wailea Strip Wailea is quite out of the way from everything. And the Fairmont is... an ok place. Their food is incredibly overpriced and I say this after having stayed at the Halekulani on Oahu. But I won't attempt to divert anyone from it.

Reviewed by: golfgrll from on Oct 10 2008 Great hotel, July 2008 Ocean view suite was just lovely, the suite was big c/w lovely large wrap around balcony. Views are terrific.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 13 2008 Pretty Good Pretty good. The pool and room size were great but the hotel was a bit dated. For the price I compared it to the Ritz or Four Seasons and it just wasn't as new or nice. I will admit a big balcony and suite size room was pretty nice.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 21 2008 Heaven on Earth If you want to be treated like royalty and stay where royalty stays then go to the Fairmont Kea Lani. It's beautiful, clean, has excellent service and is a great value. The only negative I can think of is if you want to do a lot of sightseeing on the island it is kind of off the beaten path and far from a lot of touristy attractions. On the other hand, if you like being off the beaten path and in your own little corner of the world, you'll love it as we did.
