Back to Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea Perfect Hotel on A Perfect Island The service was superb! I don't believe there is anything their Hotel Staff would not do for you! They are kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and eager to please! Our room was spotless. We will be back. I love this hotel and their service!
Reviewed by: GoldenGoodness from on Oct 14 2009 The best vacation ever! The Four Seasons Wailea is a destination that caters to both couples and families. We visited the resort from July 31 through August 5 and it was truly a remarkable experience. The poolside cabanas and service were outstanding and housekeeping services were impeccable. My three kids enjoyed the kiddie pool and the close proximity to the beach made the trek easy for the family. We had poolside lunch/cocktail service and breakfast and dinner at DUO and lunch at Ferraros---the food was pricey and as expected, it did not disappoint. Food is expensive in Hawaii already, so the pricing is comparable to other hotels and neighboring steak/seafood restaurants. I also splurged on the spa treatment for a foot and scalp massage and was so impressed that I splurged on another massage poolside. I would recommend that you visit this hotel once in your lifetime to feel what it's like to be pampered from head to toe.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 07 2009 Let Down We usually love the Four Seasons, but not this time. We arrived Dec. 4, 2007 & following the storm that hit Maul the power was out Dec. 5 & 6 at the hotel. Check-in was slow although we were upgraded from Garden View to Ocean View (far off in the distance from one side of the balcony.) We realize the hotel cannot control Mother Nature & we did sympathize with them, however, there was little done for the hotel guests in way of compensation or to help alleviate the situation. On the 5th the hotel passed out playing cards (usually given to children at check-in we were told) since none of the amenities could be used. Also lots of bottle water passed out.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 11 2008 Not up to the hype The rooms are modern with huge bathrooms. Hotel is clean. The pool was a dissapointment. No evian spritzers or frozen fruit for the five days we were there. Good luck finding a chair. Free cabanas? All you have to do is go down at 5am to get one. Food service was at best. Had a lousy dinner at Spago and ate elsewhere the other nights. View from the rooms is dissapointing. Do not expect water view even with a prime ocean view room unless you count standing at one end of your balcony and hanging over the e to see it. We had a prime view of the road into the hotel. We overheard staff complaing about new management. Hostess at DUO has to be the rudest person I've ever met.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 07 2008 Not so great We were at the resort during the storms in early December. Management did nothing for the guests. Inadequate power, Elevators not working, pool not working. Even after the power was back on there was limited services for days after. Managers did not handle the situation well for a simple power outage. Weeks later I received a letter from the hotel that basicly said too bad, we're not responsible, better luck next time. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. If the power goes out when your here RUN don't walk away because they will not offer the services they promise but they will bill you full price. We ate at DUO and the food was terrible. Room was comfortable but none of the rooms had a very good water view. We were stuck in the back with a poor view in a higher category room and they would not move us even though there were rooms available much closer to the water that were not occupied for the whole week. They should have called it hotel view not water view because the side we were on was facing directly at another bank of rooms about 50' away. No privacy at all. All of the area restaurants were far better. The most annoying thing was management kept playing it up like it was the storm of the century asking no one to leave. We went out and other areas had power. Concierges were even complaining about the poor quality food they were given to put out.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 02 2008 Awesome honeymoon destination! We just got back from our honeymoon in Oahu/Maui. We stayed in three different hotels (Hilton in Oahu, Hyatt and Four Seasons in Maui). Four Seasons by far is the best for everything from service to room quality. It's definitely a 5 star hotel. Service is way beyond our expectations. There is no need to get expensive room, because you'll get same type of quality even in mountain view room. They really treated us well with warm hospitalities. My wife remember the most from this honeymoon trip is how wonderful experience we had at Four Seasons. I highly recommend this hotel for celebrating anniversary and honeymoon. Avoid Hyatt in Lahaina.....
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 18 2007 Heaven on Earth!! My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons for our honeymoon in July, 2006. We were not disappointed. The resort and the grounds were amazing and the service was beyond exceptional. We especially enjoyed the beautiful Wailea beach that the resort is nestled on. We stayed on the club floor level and really appreciated the attentive service and ammenities that were provided to us during our stay. The club lounge provided any type of drink (Alcoholic or Non) that we requested at any time of the day. They also provided finger foods three times per day for breakfast, lunch, and evening desserts. They usually had pastries and croissants for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. The food was always tasty and the presentation of the food was exceptional. My wife and I really enjoyed stopping in late in the evening and grabbing a drink and desert after a fulfilling dinner at one of the many exquisite restaruants on the island.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 24 2007 Aloha with style Four Seasons Wailea is our favorite resort in all of Maui, if not Hawaii. My family has stayed at Princeville Kauai, Grand Wailea and Westin Maui. But we will always come back to the Four Seasons. Service is impeccable and unpretentious. Get the cheapest rooms available (Mountain View), you will get to experience all the same amenities and luxury as the more expensive rooms. Unlike its neighbor, Grand Wailea, the room rate at Four Seasons is pretty much all inclusive: poolside cabana, boogie board rental, valet parking, room refrigerator, heck even kids daycare are all free! And even on our Mai trips where we don't stay at the Four Seasons, we go out of our way to swing down, relax at the Lounge, and sip on the best Lava Flow made on the island. Once you go Four Seasons Wailea, you'll never look back!
Reviewed by: Gene Chuang from on Nov 20 2006 Overrated but will come again I booked this hotel after reading a lot of good reviews but I don't feel this place is WOW. Both my husband and I agree that the service is not that excellent. We still like Ritz better.
