Asisa Best New Years Celebration
New Years Eve in Seoul South Korea remains as one of the best celebrations that I have stumbled across during my stay in Seoul. The crowd is in thousands, almost everyone is holding lit roman candles firing them off into the air. The closer to the New Year, the more fireworks go off around you. The main fireworks display is amazing and lasts close to a half hour. This event is well orginized, and the subway stays open late so the attendees can make their way back home.

Yes
Why? / Why Not?
The scale of orginazation of this event is amazing. Everyone funnels into the well defined area, there is no roiting nor tomfolleries, just enjoyment of the moment with anticipation of the New Year. Then everyone goes home.
