Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 28 2008 Great Hotel! My husband and I were trying to get away for the weekend and we love Marriot hotels. We usually like to stay at the higher level Marriot hotels. This hotel is rated as a courtyard Marriot. I must say that I had low expectations. I thought this would be a great location and not a great room. I was wrong! The rooms were wonderful. The bed was so comfortable...I have a very expensive Stearns and Foster mattress and the bed at the hotel was even more comfortable than the one I have at home. We loved the history of the hotel and the fact that you could get room service from either Corner bakery or chilli's. Were could not fugure out why the hotel was so reasonable in price. We had a great stay and plan to visit again soon.

It doesn't have the amenities that the Renaissance or Ashton do, but it doesn't have nearly the price tag either! Great value!

After leaving another Fort Worth hotel because it was FILTHY (Best Western @ 2000 Beach St.) we drove into down town and checked into the Courtyard Downtown. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional; even at the late hour when we arrived. Our room was pretty standard for a downtown hotel (a little small, but comfortable and clean). The location is amazing; right off of main and just a few minutes walk from the historic courthouse to the north and the Ft. Worth Convention Center to the south. The room rate was very reasonable for a downtown hotel. I highly recommend this one. One thing to watch out for though: All parking at the hotel is valet. It's $10 per day for guests and non guests alike (not including tip), so plan to add $10 per day to your hotel rate. This can be a bit deceiving if you're on a budget, so keep the parking fee in mind. Tip your valet staff though! They w
