It is a beautiful park. Pope John Paul II himself visited here. One of his protective vehicles is on display there. The gardens, the landscape, the awe of the place sitting right on the Caribbean Sea is quite a spectacle, its too bad so many people where displaced into slums so the monument could be built. In the museum there is a room for every country in the world with a small collection of artifacts from each one. The seplachure of Columbus is like 3 stories high, its incredible. I would definately want to see this place if visiting Santo Domingo.
