Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 28 2009 wonderful for families Just got home from a trip to St Aug, so glad we found this museum! My kids loved the tour, my son must have spent 10 minutes trying to start a fire. My daughter even got to be the chief! The guide was wonderful, she was very patient with the kids and answered all of our questions. It was very interesting to me, too, I've always had an interest in history and this was information I've never heard before. There was an older couple on our tour and they enjoyed themselves as well, so it's not just for kids. Very reasonably priced, especially compared to some of the ghost tours. Highly recommend!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 05 2009 Great activity for kids and adults We live in the area and haven't been here before. We took our 7 year old grandson who was totally enthralled with the tour. The gentleman who re-enacted the character of the Indian was fantastic. He was engaging to all ages and made the visit thrilling to kids. Definitely a must for visitors and locals to take your kids---well worth the admission price.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 02 2009 Really recommended This was great! Totally unlike any other historical village kind of museum. You actually get to DO things here, instead of just watching people demonstrate. I went with 2 young children, my husband, and my in-laws, and it was really great for all age groups. The guides were really knowledgable. No matter what you ask, they know the answer. For St. Augustine, this was actually one of the least expensive attractions, as well. If you're only in St. Augustine for a day, I'd definitely recommend this and the trolley. We all really felt like we got to experience the town and it's history, all while having fun.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 04 2009 Awesome!! Had the best time at this place. Very entertaining and informative. I would say a MUST DO on your trip to Saint Augustine. Fun and educational for children and families. Fascinating for adults of any age. We had a mixed bunch in our group. The youngest was 7 and the oldest 68. We all loved it. This Indian guide made a spear point in like 5 min form a raw peice of flint and started a fire with a bow drill in like 10 sec. I have never seen anything like it! They also let you work with the tools and games and touch the artifacts. The staff was very nice and helpful.
