Back to Restaurant David Crockett Great Place for Steaks! This steak house is one of the best in Santo Domingo. Attentions and attitudes with customers met expectancies. Quality of food superb. Service needs to upgrade a little. Definetly I will return.

Reviewed by: Jorge from on Jun 08 2007 Great meal!!! I ate here last week and fell in love. We started out with the tastiest empanadas I have ever had. The crust was flaky and the meat spicy and flavorful. The chorizo sausage was also a winner. I chose the Kansas City Strip for an entree and was not disappointed...it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. However, the best part of the meal was the chimichuri sauce (a delectable salsa blend of olive oil, parsley, cilantro and garlic. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone.

Reviewed by: Steve from on Jan 05 2007 Great meal I went to eat to this restaurant in Guatemala and truly its the best meat I´ve tried in my whole life. Service was great and the meat its absolutely delicious. The premium steaks are very expensive compared to Guatemalan standards but you don´t buy that kind of mear anywhere else. Overall I definetly recommend it, forget about the check and enjoy while you´re eating.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 12 2006 The best steakhouse in the world! This is the best steak house that I have ever visited in my life; I have been in very famous steak house in New York, Boston, Miami and Texas, and none of them have ever met the tenderness, flavor and authenticity of the steaks prepared at David Crockett. Please, ask for the imported churrasco with the chimichurri sauce, and Yuca, and you will remember why I had to write a review about this restaurant. The cowboy cut is wonderful, the atsmosphere is more formal, they even have a salon for tobacco users, who want to have a pleasant conversation before their dinner. Excellent food!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 30 2006 The best steak... by far I have yet to eat a piece of meat as good as the ones prepared here. Nowhere, even the famous names from New York, Miami, Chicago, Austin, have in my opinion come close. My favorite cuts are the cowboy steak, the cowboy filet and the ribeye served with grilled vegetables. Only place in the DR where they ask you the weight of your steak, sometimes 8oz will do, however some other time I will require a 14 or 16oz cut. They are all cooked on a natural charcoal grill and seasoned only with salt and their "chimichuri" sause (a mixture of olive oil, parsly, garlic and salt - which is also placesd on the table for the bread and meat), which gives them a unique flavor.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 21 2005 Not bad The setting of the area was just right. It was not too casual but it was nice. The food had a lovely flavour to it and the service was quite nice.
