Back to Cascade (La) Hold onto your wallet! Inside the Sheen Falls Lodge, the Cascade Restaurant is quite beautiful. The staff is very attentive, warm and professional, without being obsequious. However, be aware that the selection of food choices is not broad and the cost is absolutely outrageous relative to the value. My wife and I had one glass of wine each, shared the lobster starter (fabulous, by the way), each had a main entree, and split the souffle dessert (I think that was 25 Euros!) and the entire bill, with a 20% gratuity included, came to Euros 185! Over $200 for two people without a bottle of wine, and splitting the first course! We both concluded it was definitely in the league of New York pricing...and in a country lodge! Every other meal we had in town (Lime Tree, Mulcahy's, Packies, and others) were excellent cuisine at one half the price! And, for what it is worth, this menu never changes (we learned) except for the soup of the day.
