Great place to hang out if you don't mind being shortchanged by the gray haired male bartender who works Thursdays. Gave him a twenty and he gave me change for a ten. Then acted like I was a moron when I asked him about it. Gave me the wrong beer too.

Skipper's is the best place to see and hear music! Under the canopy of stars and live oaks, I've experienced music from Africa, Australia, Siberia, of course the USA, and local bands from the Tampa Bay area. The intimate atmosphere helps you link with the musicians, who say it's their favorite place to perform. There is covered seating (if you can keep you feet off the dance floor!), heaters in the winter if needed, a restaurant to satisfy those with the munchies, and 3 bars at very affordable prices. They have just celebrated 25 years in business, and I think they are successful because they appeal to a wide range of customers from bikers to chic, toddlers to retirees, and everyone in between.
