One of the nicest means of public transport to Travemunde is a journey on one of the Kufra ships. The journey aboard the Kufra Star or the Kufra Jet takes about 90 minutes, and food and drink is available during the sailing. The captain will provide interesting information and some nice anecdotes on all the sights while you pass by historic harbour basins, Europe's largest ferryport and the shipbuilding docks. You will also pass the lovely fishermen's village of Gothmund and the picturesque landscape along the lower Trave. From April - October, there are 4 daily passages departing from the swing-bridge.
