Each recounts the history and importance of ceramic technology and offers an interesting perspective on the way that humans have modified this ancient art.
The Altamira Cave Paintings

The history of the Altamira Cave paintings have been landmark in discovering the history of the ancient people who drew them. Though the original cave is no longer open to the general public, the Deutsches Museum exhibit features a detailed explanation of the ongoing attempt to create a replica of the original area, using the same materials and techniques as the ancient dwellers.

Tunnels are an important part of our daily lives, and this exhibit shows how they are designed and constructed. On display is also a wide variety of tools and machinery that are used in the process of completing these underground excavations, as well as a history of some of the major construction projects of the past and present.
