Bad experience I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I had to wait for quite a while before i can check-in. I got the card and went to my room and was surprise to find that the room was already occupied by another guest. Lucky the guest was not in. So i told the staff that the room the receptionist gave me was wrong. They told me to go down again to collect another room card. This is considered a very bad experience for me cos i been staying in many hotels but never did encountered a receptionist that gave me a wrong room. Bad service. But breakfast was good anywhere. Would you recommend this to a friend? Don't Know

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 26 2008 Surrounded by NOTHING The hotel isn't bad, it's just the location which I think might be bad no matter where you are in J.B. There is a small shopping center down the road (which you have to cross a very dirty, dark alleyway to get to it) but it doesn't have anything special in the shopping center. McDonald's....Ok. If you are going to J.B. to eat at McDonald's then you will have a great time. We spent 3 days there and I wish I was anywhere else besides there after 3 hours. I decided to try to make the best out of it and go to the Zoo. Don't bother. We took a taxi from the hotel (20-25 mins) and he dropped us off on the side of the road next to a gate. It took us 20 mins to walk the whole thing, and we were taking our time. The animals are not taken care of and there are not that many to begin with. After our 20 minute walk we were ready to go back to the hotel and play connect 4 but guess what? NO TAXI around. The street is deserted. We ended up walking to a busy road and then about 2 miles up that road with teenagers honking and yelling out the windows. Finally we arrived into the city again, found a taxi and decided next time we take a trip somewhere like this we will do a little more research. PLEASE READ THIS AND BE WARNED!!!

Its just fine w me n family to stay here again... but the counter staffs needs more training in serving customers.. unfriendly, no smiles n reluctant to help.

Contributor from on Oct 05 2006 Sad ... and disappointing I was looking forward for a great time away from hustling and bustling life... so my husband and myself decided to go to Puteri. Service were really bad... we checked in and the receptionist gave us access card wrongly! we tried for abt 10 minutes until the housekeeper decided to check what went wrong. Instead of calling for someone up, we were told to go down and change the access card! My husband was made to run up and down twice and the receptionist did not apologise nor offer much of an assistance. I am quite pls with the cleanliness of the room but not the bathroom. The shower area was really bad, mouldy and the tub not scrub cleaned! Another horror awaits me! We were famished and ordered our lunch. The lunch came pretty late... its fine... we also asked for some ice cubes and water. We were given the water and ice cubes and i happily drank everything... to my horror when I opened the lit of the container, I saw a cockroach drowned in there! No words can describe my state of mind at that moment of time. When we told the receptionist nor the hotel management, nothing was done and there were no apologies! Very sad! I felt that as a customer I was not valued at all!

Reviewed by: Rachel from on Aug 28 2005 Big disappointment! I am simply appalled by the service level of Puteri Pan Pacific hotel staff. The service given is definitely below a 5-star hotel standard. I would think a 3 star gives better service.
