Back to Circus Circus Hotel Casino my stay i was very setup with the service that they provided to me and my husband when we stay their on oct 16-18 the rooms were very bad and they put us like 2 miles away from the casino and i was very mad at them for that ....
Reviewed by: StephanieG from on Nov 02 2009 Good value We stayed in a tower room and for the money it wasn't bad. If you can walk without great difficulty, it isn't an awful walk to the middle of the strip (at least not in the summer months). I thought it was clean and not unpleasant. My sixteen year old liked the buffet and the arcade. All in all not a bad place to stay.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 21 2009 not worth the money!! we planned a last minute trip to vegas, and this was the cheapest we could find. i hated it. my dad warned me about the heavy smoke smell but i still went on to book it. he was right, the moment u walk in it reaks of heavy smoke up until the point it drives u crazy! there are no coffee shops, no starbucks no mcDonalds no nothing. their gift shop that sells alcohol is ridiculous almost $20 for 2 Corona 40oz bottles! no choice since there is no near stores. the rooms were clean to my surprise very neat, and although we got the newly remodeled room it was still in great need for remodelation. the annoying things were that the toilets flush VERY loud, the kind that are used in public restrooms. The piping must be very old, because i can hear each time the people next to us would turn on their water. the walls are thin. i can hear people giggling and talking, and taking showers. the carpet had stains and was filthy, the wallpaper was yellowing. and our room faced the adventuredome and we can hear the motors working all day and night. our room was also to the very end of the hallway not much of a walk, so we didnt hear alot of people walking. their tequila sunrise was very good, but that was another problem trying to find a decent bar. most of their bars closed early there was only one open by midnight. since it is really far from the attractions we had to keep paying cabs, since we carpooled with friends, never again wasted too much money on cabs, and got tired from long walks. everything in the casino was far and too crowded. oh and hardly any food shops. wont stay here again.
Reviewed by: Darlene from on Oct 19 2009 First and Last time we stay here. We just got back from Vegas and our 2 day stay at Circus Circus. Wow, this hotel is what OLD vegas was. I just can't see waisting your time with this hotel. Rooms were clean, but that is about it. The hair dryer burnt up the first time it was used. The bath water ran the whole time. The toilets, when flushed, were so loud that if anyone was sleeping, they would wake up from it. Kids running up and down the hall, even at 3 am (which is the parents fault, not the hotel, i understand that. But that just tells you the kind of people that go to this hotel). We did walk to the Wynn, which isnt that far, but makes you see what the "other side" lives like. The shopping center is close enough to walk to if you are younger (we are in our early 30's late 20's), but my mom and dad (very late 50's) didnt want to walk back. The casino isnt bad. Not a lot of people at the slots (for good reason), but there were alot at the tables. Then the only good way to get a drink is to set at the bar. The drink girls are never around. We sat for 30 minutes and didnt have one come around.
Reviewed by: JeremyM from on Oct 11 2009 Disappointed! I purchase the package deal from Southwest for around $400 and I thought it was a good deal. I didn't realize how far it was from the strip. The feet is still sore from walking. The room was okay but the carpet inside the casino and inside the room needs to be replaced. It's old and dirty. I was staying at the 3rd floor Room 343. I saw people making a mess and spilling ice onto the carpet and nobody came to clean it up.
Reviewed by: allen k from on Oct 07 2009 not what i expected...for the better Again after reading reviews I was sceptical.... but for the price I said why not. The service was friendly..check in was a little long...the dealers and and floor personel in the poker room were exceptional... food from the buffet was good (probably not the best, but for 20 all day what do you want)...... Alll in All the 7 day trip was a complete sucess......
Reviewed by: Shiftimus from on Oct 03 2009 Great time in Vegas!! Went on Sept 23-26th, weather was hot but the A/C was kickin! After reading some of the reviews of the Circus Circus I was expecting the worst however, the accommodations were great! Had no problems checking in or out and the staff was very helpful. The time of year was good as most of the kids were in school and nowhere to be seen until Saturday when the little cretins began appearing at the Adventure Dome. Rooms were clean, my wife and I had one in the back tower and my sister had one in the front tower. Only thing out of order was an ashtray full of cigarette butts left outside the window of our non smoking room. The room did not smell of smoke, however. The shops in the hotel/casino were cool and relatively inexpensive compared to others on the strip. Buffet was awesome and the $1.99 huge hot dogs next door at Slots-a-Fun were a great deal for the money. Saw the show "Freaks" at O'sheas and found that to be well worth the $35 ticket price on Vegas.com. The show consisted of glass eaters, sword swallowers, knife throwers, contortionists, and an outstanding little dwarf! Definitely check this out if you like weird stuff but leave the rug rats at the hotel or they will witness topless female dancers and nauseating acts of self inflicted torture. Met the performers after the show and got some pics with them. Went to the top of the Eiffel Tower which has an amazing view of the strip right about mid point. Saw 2 circus acts at the hotel/casino which were very entertaining. Met Urijah Faber, who is a professional fighter, and got pics with him. Went on a tour to Laughlin, NV, which was included in our vacation package through Southwest airlines (airfare, hotel, Laughlin tour, free buffet, and other comps for only $511 for 2 of us). Laughlin was cool as it is on the river and has several casino's but lacks the glitz of Vegas and seems to draw an older crowd that appear content sitting at slot machines for hours on end. Spent 5 hours here but probably could have been happy with 2 or 3. Hit a few fun stops along the way and shot photos at the Hoover Dam which is another awesome site to behold. Overall had an awesome time and have absolutely no complaints! Can’t wait to go back and will stay at the Circus Circus again! Highly recommend to friends and family!
Reviewed by: LOCKNAR from on Oct 01 2009 Wow, a real vacation at last! My first vacation by myself ever & I went to Circus Circus. I had been through it years ago with friends and it was nice then. Now, wow!! The price was right. I stayed for a week. Room service was great! Couldn't ask for better. The first night had trouble with the plumbing, but they came and fixed it right away. The only problem I had was with the desk clerk. I asked how to get to my room and he just basically ignored me and sent me to the wrong floor. Everyone else was utterly fantastic. I will go back and I have recommended it to friends. The waitresses in the casino were friendly and very helpful. All in all I felt good. They made me feel like a friend instead of tourist. Thank you again, Circus Circus Las Vegas!!
Reviewed by: Vickey from on Sep 18 2009 VERY SMOKEY and a very, very, very kid friendly. It was cleaner than I thought it would be, but when you first walk in the smoke hits you We had a family group of 8 (5 adults, 13yr and two 19 yrs). We picked it because it was cheap and the ones who could'nt gamble would have something to do. Rooms were nice, but we di'd'nt spend alot of time in them because we were always going to the other end of the strip or somewhere else. When we were at the hotel kids went to the Adventuredome, arcade, shopped the hotel stores. It was very busy (but that was to be expected, in July), they also had high school basketball teams stay there during that time. There were alot of unsupervised children at Circus Circus. We were there saturday thru tuesday and monday the hotel started clearing out a bit. The buffet was pretty good. Our first day there they ran out of towels and we needed light blubs for our room lamps, called housekeeping for it took a while but we eventually got some. Would I stay there again maybe. Another thing, CIrcus Circus is on the oppisite end of the strip from where all the other hotels are located so you either ride the bus, walk etc... I am not grumbling just telling like it is.
