Spacious and comfy, this cafe exudes a relaxed ambience and is a popular place to sit and people-watch or dissect the themes of the last film you saw at the Filmhouse. Part of it is given over to a small photographic gallery, and on the second Sunday of every month there's a film-themed quiz to sort out the buffs from the buffoons. They serve great handmade cakes and a variety of fairly healthy meals such as baked potatoes, pasta dishes, vegan soups, sandwiches and salads, all at a reasonable price. There is a good selection of beverages, including a delicious hot chocolate, topped with cream and flakes, real ales and a selection of wines.
