A fire that gutted this long-time bar in the late 1990s hasn't deterred this popular watering hole. Rebuilt to near exactness of the original, the restaurant and bar continues to serve juicy hamburgers and thirst-quenching beer and cocktails. The long, slender bar opens up to several tables, and a small stage for live music is in the back. Televisions are located throughout the bar, usually tuned in to ESPN. Many capitol building employees, including legislators, have done business and experienced pleasure here.
