MyCal Honmoku is a huge California-style shopping center located on Honmoku-dori near Yokohama Bay in Honmoku. Started in 1989 it claims to be the biggest shopping center in Japan. There are 12 "districts," each in a Spanish colonial-style building, that offer a total of over 300 eateries, boutiques, cinemas, shops, and live houses. On the weekends Mycal Honmoku draws a lot of young couples who are out on dates. But there are obviously attractions aplenty for everyone. In "District 1," there is even a California-style Fisherman's Wharf where you can choose what you want to take home for dinner from large tanks.
