The Filipino staff saved the day!
II booked 2 rooms online. I specified that I needed 2 adjoining rooms because I was travelling with my parents and my nephew.

Good Deal & Good Service
I stayed here two nights and, given the low rate, did not expect that much. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The service wasn't overly friendly, but it was good nonetheless, including from front desk, housekeeping, business center, health club and shuttle bus. The bar on the ground floor was less than inviting, but the staff there were fine. Next time, I will try a higher profile property, such as the Grand Lisboa or the Venetian (the latter is 4 or 5 miles away on the Cotai Strip).

You get what you pay for
The lobby can be deceiving. The lobby is very nice, but the rooms are dated. Everything looks like it is out of the 1960s. The view was horrible! We looked out into someone's flat which was very run down. We only stayed for 2 nights, and I was ready to leave before that time. We did win money in the casino playing slots - enough to pay for our hotel stay. So I guess all was not lost. But the entire staff at the casino came over to watch me and my friend play. It was kind of weird, I could not figure out why they were watching (it was 4-5 casino employees crowded around watching). We only played slots b/c we didn't know how to play the other games. Nothing was in English. The people watching kind of freaked us out, and we wanted to quite while we were ahead.

Why treated like gamblers
not everyone visiting Macao by chinese new year is a gambler, a lot of people travel thousands of miles to visit friends or relatives, so why prior to stay in we have to pay first?
